My beautiful new bread box arrived today and I am so thrilled with it! Coincidentally, a friend had just sent me a personal little teapot with some teas and I put it on top of the bread box - just like your picture. The wood is perfect! We live in an old (over 100 years) house with a lot of oak.
I am so glad to have found you on the net - very few bread boxes hold more than a loaf or so - and I really love old fashioned well-made things. The packaging was great also!
